Installation Policy — your install-day playbook

This is the contract between you, your site, and our installation crew. Read once and your install will be smooth, clean and snag-free.

  • Trained in-house crews — no outsourcing of installation in our 6 base cities
  • Dust-sheeting + vacuum cleanup as standard, on every project
  • Hindi-speaking site supervisor on every job, English on B2B sites
  • Snag list at handover — every snag closed within 7 days

1. Scope — what is included in installation

2. Out-of-scope — what we don't do (and won't bill you for)

3. Site-readiness checklist — what we need from you

A

Civil openings ready

Opening size matches the shop-drawing (signed at order). Inside of opening plastered. Sill levelled.

B

Power & water

15 A point near each opening for our cordless tools + a tap for cleanup. Single-phase 230 V.

C

Clear access

A 6-foot clear path from the lift / staircase to each opening, free of furniture, tiles and tools.

D

Lift / hoist clearance

Our largest packed crate is 3.1 m long × 0.9 m wide. Confirm lift dimensions or arrange a hoist for high floors.

E

Site supervisor

A single point of contact at site — your contractor, your relative, or yourself — empowered to approve minor field decisions.

F

Storage space

A 4×4 m secure space to store profiles & glass overnight for multi-day installs.

4. Install-day protocol — what you can expect

Our crew arrives between 9:00 and 9:30 AM with their day plan, tools, dust sheets and personal protective gear. The morning starts with a 10-minute opening review — measuring every opening one final time against the shop drawing.

Dust-sheeting goes up around each opening before any cutting tool is switched on. We use 0.15 mm polythene with magnetic dust skirts on the floor. Old frames (if removed) are bagged and stacked for end-of-day disposal.

Installation proceeds opening by opening. After every opening is complete, the crew does an interim wipe-down so dust doesn't accumulate across the rest of the home.

End of day, the crew vacuums (not sweeps) the work zone with HEPA vacuums. Sheeting comes down only after vacuuming. We leave the site visibly clean enough to walk barefoot.

5. Quality checks — what we verify before handover

6. Snag list & handover

At end of installation, the site supervisor walks every opening with the customer or representative. Anything that doesn't meet our quality criteria — or the customer's reasonable expectation — goes on a signed snag list.

Each snag has a target close date. Minor snags (handle re-alignment, gasket trim) close same day. Bigger snags (glass replacement, profile re-pack) close within 7 working days. The handover form is signed only after every snag closes.

Workmanship warranty of 2 years applies from the snag-free handover date — see the warranty policy for scope.

Frequently asked questions

How many days does installation take?

A typical 3 BHK with 12–14 openings is done in 2 working days. A G+1 villa with 25–30 openings takes 4–5 days. A G+2 villa elevation with structural glazing takes 8–12 days. Your shop drawing & PO will state the committed install duration.

Do you work on Sundays / public holidays?

Yes, on request, for a flat ₹3,000 per day "holiday-shift surcharge" per crew. Many of our high-rise installations happen on Sundays because the lifts are freer.

Will my house get dusty?

Very minimally. Dust-sheeting + HEPA vacuums + opening-by-opening cleanup is standard on every job. If you have a particularly sensitive area (paintings, electronics), tell us in advance and we will tape extra polythene around it.

My building society needs an MoU / NOC from your side. Will you provide?

Yes. We routinely provide labour-licence proofs, workmen-compensation insurance copy, ESI/PF compliance certificate and a standard installation indemnity. Send the society's checklist to your account manager 3 working days before install.

Can I be present during installation?

Absolutely encouraged. Many customers schedule their first day of installation for the morning and check progress at lunch. The site supervisor will give you a real-time WhatsApp update otherwise.

What if the opening size is wrong on site?

Our shop drawings are signed off pre-production, so this is rare. If a site condition has changed (e.g., last-minute civil rework), we either re-cut the frame on site (small change) or take it back to the factory for re-fab (1–4 days). We do not bill you for our error; we do bill for the chargeable re-visit if the site changed without notice.
